As obviously expected, the Galaxy S21 series flagship smartphones are finally here. Samsung held the 2021’s Unpacked event yesterday where the company has unveiled the Galaxy S21, s21+, and S21 Ultra in its 2021’s Galaxy S21 series. Along with these smartphones, Samsung has also launched its Galaxy Smart Tags and new Galaxy Buds Pro.

Galaxy S21 series pricing, availability & pre-order

Starting from the Galaxy S21, the smartphone comes in two variants – 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. These variants have been priced at Rs 69,999 and 73,999 respectively. Talking about the colors, there are Phantom Violet, White, Pink, and Grey colors available.

The Galaxy S21+ also comes in the same two variants but are priced at Rs 81,999 and Rs 85,999 along with Phantom Violet, Silver, and Black color variants.

The S21 Ultra packs more RAM and comes in two variants – 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB. The pricing of these variants is Rs 1,05,999 and Rs 1,16,999 respectively. It will be available in Phantom Black and Silver color variants.

The prebooking of the smartphones is starting from today (15 January) from Samsung’s Exclusive Stores, Retail Stores,, and leading online portals. The company has also said that every pre-booked customer will get Galaxy Smart Tag completely free along with the smartphone along with Samsung E-Shop vouchers of up to Rs 10,000. They can also get Galaxy Watch Active 2 or a combo of Galaxy Buds+ and Travel Adapter with a device.

You can also avail of cashback of up to Rs 10,000 on HDFC banc cards or have an option to avail Upgrade Bonus of up to Rs 5,000.

The Pre-booked customer will start getting their smartphone delivery from January 25th whereas, for others, the phones will go on sale on January 29th.

Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ specifications

The Galaxy S21 and S21+ feature 6.2-inches and 6.7-inches Flat FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O displays respectively. There is also an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate feature available in the displays. The two smartphones are powered by the Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888 SoC based on the region. In India, the phones come with the Exynos 2100 SoC.

The camera department of both smartphones features a 10MP punch-hole front camera for selfies. On the rear, there is a triple camera module that houses a primary 12MP sensor along with a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 64MP telephoto lens that supports 30x space zoom.

The Galaxy S21 houses a 4,000mAh battery inside it whereas the S21+ has a 4,800mAh.

The Ultra variant among the Galaxy S21 series phones comes with a 6.8-inches Edge QHD+ Dynamin AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display that also comes with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate at the QHD+ resolution. Samsung has said that the Galaxy S21 Ultra has been powered by a 5nm 64-bit octa-core processor which can be either be the SD 888 or the Exynos 2100 depending on the region.

The S21 Ulta comes with a 40P selfie camera on the front. The rear camera module has a quad-camera setup that includes ultra-wide, wide, and dual telephoto lenses including a 108 MP sensor. The 108MP sensor can capture 12-bit HDR photos and the user can also shoot 4k videos at 60fps from all lenses including front and rear four lenses.

The phone also comes with a 12-bit RAW file option. The dual-tele lens system from Samsung, including one optical 3x and one optical 10x, enables the phone to achieve a 100x Space Zoom.

For low-light photography, there is also a Bright Night sensor and the S21 Ultra comes with a 5,000mAh battery capacity.

Galaxy Smart Tag

The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag and SmartTag+ have got a debut from the Galaxy Unpacked event. By using the Galaxy Smart Tags, you will be able to locate your lost item to the most precise location. Just put the SmartTag on your objects like keys and pets and you will be able to track them down using the Smart Thing Find app on your phone.

Galaxy Buds Pro specifications

Samsung has also launched the Galaxy Buds pro in the event. These new wireless earbuds feature ‘Intelligent Noise cancellation’ technology that automatically detects when you are talking and switches off the adaptive noise cancellation. These earbuds have a two-way speaker system and come with a 360-degrees audio feature that re-calibrates the music and adjust you in the center whenever you turn your head in different directions.

There is also an Auto Switch feature that allows the device to automatically detect which device you are using and switch the audio to that device. The IPX7 rating of the Galaxy Buds pro makes these earbuds ‘highest standard of water resistance’ among all the Buds devices, Lastly, the Galaxy Buds Pro comes with up to 28 hours of battery life (when the ANC is off).
